Tools and Hardware Reviews of Streamlight 66118 Stylus Pro Black LED Pen Flashlight with HolsterCustomer Review: The finger of God Summary: 5 Stars
This is the best all purpose flashlight I have ever owned, and I have owned many. I love flashlights, its almost like some sick addiction, Ive got the fever. Thats a lie, but I do, for some reason, buy a new flashlight every time I go camping to Yosemite, which is once a year for a week. I buy them not only to get into the spirit of camping but also because I like to have the coolest light out of all my friends and family. Kinda lame I know, but what can I say. I honestly thought this was going to be a joke from its small size, but let me tell you, it out shines all of my heavy duty or medium sized led flashlights easily. Plus its economic size is just incredible. I now use it for everything around the house and all my other flashlights now collect dust. I think its safe to say, that my "flashlight fever" has gone away. The streamlight was my cure.
Customer Review: Perfect Summary: 5 Stars
This is a superb flashlight. I am mechanic in a shipyard. I have to climb into some dark tight areas, some spots I need to empty my pockets just to get in. I can clip this light on my coveralls and squeeze in there. It is very bright which suprised me. I opened the package and the first thing I did was shine it in my eye (bad idea). It was so bright it took a while for me to stop seeing spots. When the power goes out on a ship it is dark and when I say dark I mean dark as in pitch black absolutely no daylight. #1 rule on a ship is make sure you have a flashlight and I just clip this next to my pens in my pocket and I can't forget it. Well worth the $20 I would be willing to pay $40 now that I know what its capable of. I hope they continue to upgrade and make this style flashlight so I can continue to purchase it throughout my career as a mechanic.
Customer Review: good value for a great light Summary: 5 Stars
So I got this light for work but it is small and light enough that I carry it everywhere. The light is very bright for the size and co-workers and others who have seen me use it comment on that. It is a bit of a tight fit for the pen pocket on my uniform shirts but the clip easily lets me clip it in my pant pocket. I have used several times at work, and twice to work on my car at night when I had battery and tire issues and it provided plenty of light each time ,the flash light is rated at 23 lumen.Another point I liked with this light is the fact it uses AAA batteries which are cheap and not CR123 or other expensive batteries. It does rattle a little but that is no big deal, the aluminum casing seems very tough and the finish is holding up well. For the price you cannot go wrong if you want a small light flash light.
Customer Review: Incredible light Summary: 5 Stars
This light is absolutely incredible, it's 2 AAA batteries give off far more light than I was expecting, about as bright as the older 3 D-cell Maglight's (I haven't used the 4 D-cell or the newer LED lighted ones). I haven't yet worn down the first set of batteries, but it comes with good Duracell batteries, not some knock-off cheap brand that will only last half as long as regular batteries. It feels very sturdy in your hand and the on/off button is a nice slightly sticky and textured rubber that is easy to push. I have a cheaper "tactical" light that uses 2 of the CR123 batteries and this light is a lot brighter. The belt clip will start to rub away the finish the first time you take the cap off if you don't hold it, I plan to put a tiny drop of gorilla glue on the clip to make it a bit smoother.
Customer Review: industrial drop tested... Summary: 5 Stars
I am a service tech for industrial cranes. i have a need for a small portable light because many times i am working up high where normal lighting just doesn't shine. the streamlight 66118 is a very convenient way to carry a small, bright light to places where i need some illumination for checking crane components in dark places. recently, my streamlight was dropped from a height of approx. 25 feet onto a concrete floor. i was worried because even shock proof items can break after that kind of a fall. when i got back down to ground level, it still worked. i was very impressed to say the least. i would recommend this to anyone looking for easily portable lighting. It's definitely going to be a stocking stuffer this year when i buy presents for friends and family. you can't beat it for $20.
