Tools and Hardware Reviews of Streamlight 66118 Stylus Pro Black LED Pen Flashlight with Holster

Customer Review: This is the best flashlight I have ever owned
Summary: 5 Stars

I am a career electrician who now works in building maintenance. I am always sticking my head in little dark spaces, and appreciate the value of a good flashlight.

This flashlight is light. It is small. It is amazingly bright for it's size. It clips in my pen pocket and doesn't fall out when I bend over upside down or I'm crawling around machinery or through a plenum. It is solid. I have dropped it 15 feet onto concrete and I couldn't even tell where it hit. It's amazingly water resistant. It never needs new batteries (ok, it does eventually. But it feels like never).

I use it every day. I have even started carrying it around when I'm not at work. I have never felt this way about a flashlight before. It truly is everything I want in a flashlight.

Customer Review: Wonderful flashlight
Summary: 5 Stars

This flashlight is quite compact. The build quality is great. Though the intensity is only 24 lumen, it is enough for daily use. Do not expect it to be super bright. If the brightness is important to you, you may want to consider Fenix LD20. It is two and half times the money (Amazon won't let me put down the amount). But you get 180 lumen. I would think these two flashlights serve different purposes.

The only complaint I can think of is the possible scratch when you change the battery. The clip will slightly scratch the body. You can put a piece of paper between them to prevent that. Other than that, this is a great flashlight. Do not get those cheap less than 10 dollars LED flashlights. It is not worth the hassles and agonies to put up with those cheap stuff.

Customer Review: FlashlIght holds up well. works well for my needs
Summary: 5 Stars

I had received one of these flashlights for use in my profession as a boiler inspector. It has worked well for most daily external inspections where viewing nameplates and stampings require a bright enough light, but also has the smallness to fit into a shirt pocket for ease of carrying. I did lose it however in the driveway after a fairly large snowstorm and figured I'd find it in the spring thaw. I bought a second one on amazon.com as the first one had worked well. My wife found the first one in the middle of the driveway about a month later (after other snowfalls and multiple trips in and out of the driveway). No damage and it still works fine. I have not replaced the batteries yet either and have used it for almost a year on mostly a daily basis. works great for my needs.

Customer Review: Sabr says so
Summary: 5 Stars

I got two of these: the other was for my son-in-law, made for a great early Christmas gift. He made the mistake of looking right at it when it was on. At least now he realizes what a great giver I am! This light is a great backup light for my med backpack, or it tags along in my 5.11 Taclite Pro pants leg pocket next to my pen. Light, strong, bright, and long lasting, the beam this throws is perfect for those dark spots you need to light up, or even can be used as your main source light when camping, but I'd bring something else, being as I tend to bring two of almost everything with me. Redundancy is the key to survival. The Streamlight Stylus Pro is a perfect pocket passenger for all your close up lighting needs. Five stars for sure.

Customer Review: Flawless flashlight
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a very cheap flashlight compared to the quality and power of light. With 24 lumens (it looks much more powerfull) I would highly recommend this. It is a very quality product, too. I have been using this over a month- only evenings-approx. 10 minutes each evening- and the light is not powerfull as the first day but still very good. 66118 model runs with two AAA batteries. I bought 66318 model too. 66318 runs with one AAA battery and has 20 Lumens of power. 66318 is much shorter (almost half), without holster, but light power is almost the same. If the job is not extremely demanding, I would highly recommend both Streamlight 66118 and Streamlight 66318 instead of investing over 100 dollars on bigger flashlights.
