I've had this light for about a week. I bought it with the intention of leaving it in my backpack (a smaller replacement for an aging mini-maglite). Well, the maglite is still in my backpack- the streamlight stays in my pocket. It is small and lightweight enough to be carried un-obtrusively. I'm amazed at how bright it is, and everyone who has seen it has wanted one. Great product, great price.
Update- six months later- still love it, probably more now than when I wrote the initial review. I use this daily, for so many things it's really hard to describe how functional this light really is, it's great!

You will not believe just how bright this thing is. The beam is almost fluid like, with no "dead spots" in the pattern. The range is incredible, for something the size of your finger. Just use it around someone, and, see if they don't ask what kind of light it is. It is made to survive most all of life's little surprises, and, is totally waterproof to boot (believe me). I need a light I can count on, and require it to be small enough to carry at all times, this, by far,is the best light I have purchased, all others, including my Pelican Xenon (short bulb life but nice light), are relegated to the "drawer".Customer Review: Great little light

I saw a friend with one of these and knew I could use this a lot. I carry a light on me at all times. This one is perfect for a lot of occasions where a larger lithium 2 cell Surefire may be too much bulk for your attire. I haven't used this a ton but it seems pretty robust. The issues with all of these types of lights is the durability of the switch. That's the critical part of the system that is subject to failure when you least expect it to happen. Streamlight is a reputable brand. I'd be very leery of cheap foreign lamps if you use your light for critical work where reliability is paramount.Customer Review: Serious Penlight. Serious Beam. Never spent this much $ for such a small penlight. No regrets. Never knew such a small penlight could put out such a seriously strong focused beam. No wonder some refer to this as a "tactical" light. Didn't want to waste it as a "keychain" flashlight - I used the supplied lanyard and wear it under my shirt so I always know where it is (no more fumbling around my pockets, under the car seat, or my briefcase looking for a light). You don't know how much you need a light like this until you have it conveniently and discretely under your shirt. Well worth the price.Customer Review: One of the best flashlights I have ever used.

Working and commuting nights, I use many light sources, and this one (with the white LED) is one of the best. Small and quite bright. It's almost as bright as the 2 AA battery powered Stylus Pro that is twice as long, and brighter than some of those because they don't always have pure white LEDs. Some have a bluish tint (I have 3 of each, and all the Micro's are pure white, where 2 of the 3 Stylus Pros have a blue tint, and are less bright, even though they were sold as white LEDs). The Stylus Pro with the true white LED is the brightest of the six however.
