I like things that work well and are well made. I like the aluminum construction better than similar plastic units. Yeah it does turn on sometimes but I got a good deal buying the little batteries in bulk so don't mind replacing them. I got one for a buddy too and he put some teflon tape on his and says he doesn't have the problem. One time it unscrewed and came apart in my pocket. Everything was there so just had to put it back together. The batteries tend to flip over on me when loading it so I stack them up on a flat surface and slide the light over them. I've had this one for about year now and the led still works like new. Since the led's recessed it doesn't get scratched up. The case is getting pretty worn but I expected that. No doubt the light will last a good long time, but even if it died tommorrow i'd get another. I'm a bit fumble-fingered so always handy to have a light when I drop things on a dark night (unless it's my keys...heh).Customer Review: Awesome little light - easy to fix the "come apart" issue.

I bought a couple of these for stocking stuffers, knowing that I'd be putting one in my own stocking... :-)
The first thing I noticed was that the head turns way to easily. Reading the other reviews confirms that mine wasn't a fluke. Anyway, anybody who does any sort of mechanical work knows about Lok-Tite. Clean the threads, the apply a couple drops of red Lok-Tite on the threads and screw it back together. Once it dries, it creates enough friction on the threads to "fix" the issue of it coming apart on its own.
Other than that - this light is smaller and brighter than I had expected. I have several LED lights, including some high-end Fenix units, and while this light isn't brighter, it still impressed me. The price can't be beat either, and if you buy some high-end replacement batteries on eBay, you'll be set for a long time to come. All in all, this makes an excellent EDC light.

Portable light is always important to have. And these streamlight nanos, fulfilled by amazon, are really an excellent deal.
I have owned many flashlights, some costing as many as $80. And i compared many of them to the nano.
The pros:
1. Extremely bright.
2. Ultra-small profile.
3. Easily unclips for quick use
4. Cheap enough that you can lose it and not be overly frustrated
5. Handy to put on your jacket zipper pull, or your backpack zipper pull.
6. "Twist to turn on" makes it difficult to turn on accidentally compared to lazer LED flashlights
The cons:
1. The LR41 batteries can be a challenge to load, they like to flip over.
2. The LR41 batteries are uncommon.
There are a host of "features" like its "weatherproof" aspect. Personal use verifies that these are very durable.
Its a safe buy.

Received one for my birthday from my instructor, and I've gotta say--I wasn't expecting this tiny little thing to put out this much light. 10 lumens doesn't sound like much, but it appears brighter than my Fenix P1D on its "Low" setting (rated 12 lumens). Mine has a slight violet tinge to the beam, which I like given that I find that it helps me find small details easily missed by normal inspections.
Construction is like that of a MagLight, milled from a solid piece of aluminum. Operation is easy, even one-handed. Feels like it could take a beating without loss of performance.
I'd give it 4.5 out of 5 stars because of the (included) unusual batteries it uses (compared to 123 batteries), but LR41 batteries aren't uncommon. Not really a detractor, though; it most likely replace my P1D for everyday use.
Final word: Great deal. Highly recommend.

I bought this product for as a gift for my girlfriend since she is always looking through her purse in the dark. It works better than expected. One of my vehicles has its dome light out so at night I can't see anything inside. The Streamlight nano gives off plenty of light to search through the vehicle. The Nano is rated at 10 lumens so dont expect it to be a search and rescue light. In low light conditions your eyes with adjust to the darkness and the Nano will quite effective. There are some other similar products out there if you are looking for something more extravagant, but this is a great option.
