Tools and Hardware Reviews of Streamlight 73001 Nano Light Miniature Keychain LED Flashlight, Black

Customer Review: Great for your key ring, buy a spare one too.
Summary: 5 Stars

I have bought over 2 dozen of these little wonders. Every key ring in the house has one of these flashlights on it and I have given the rest away as gifts (everyone who receives one loves it). They are unobtrusive on the key right but produce an astonishing amount of light for a little flashlight. We have used in countless situations: having to go through dark parking lots or garages, once when there was a power outage at a sports stadium.

The batteries of my first light died on me (since I am the only one who had this happen too out of all the flashlights I have given away, I'm thinking that maybe I left the light on accidentally). I tried to buy replacement batteries at Walgreens but they would have cost about $20! So I just bought a fw more of these lights instead.

Customer Review: Bright and durable
Summary: 5 Stars

I've waited till I had this light a few months before reviewing. This thing is insanely bright for its size. I use it all the time and the batteries haven't run out. It is attached to my big ole chunk of keys that get dropped and abused quite frequently and it has held up really well. It is actually still (mostly) black in color instead of having had all the paint rubbed off.

Very cool light, and makes a great gift because it is inexpensive for you, but whoever gets it will find that is really does come in handy. Get someone something they'll actually use! Everyone needs a flashlight, not everyone wants to carry a maglite in their pocket but almost everyone has a keyring that they carry with them every day. This thing is lightweight, unobtrusive and TINY.

Customer Review: Definitely worth the money.
Summary: 5 Stars

Lets manage expectations here.

This is not a bulletproof design, it is not a tactical light, it will not put out 500 lumens with only one handed operation after being dropped off of a 50 story building.

Reality: what can you expect for $6? In this case, an EXTREMELY small package that puts out a suprising amount of light.

It's $6. It makes light, it clips on things. Keep it in a place where it wont get banged around or loosened accidentally and you are set. Good first aid kit task light for emergencies. Perhaps a good zipper pull.

Like others have recommended, throw some teflon tape on the threads, or perhaps a little releasable loctite on the threads and hang it from whereever you need to.

Customer Review: ***** Unbelievably Bright - Unbelievably Small
Summary: 5 Stars

I am astounded at how bright this tiny flashlight is. It is easy to have one always with you because it is so tiny and unobtrusive. Add it to your key chain, purse or computer bag. It's not in the way but handy when you need it. I bought one initially so I could light my pathway to my car after dark and to see the back of computer equipment in dark corners. It's those unanticipated moments when I forget to bring along a flashlight. This Streamlight provides plenty of light for both tasks. My husband and I found this tiny flashlight so helpful that we bought a bunch more which we have hung in various places around the house. That equipment in dark corners which always aggravate our "old eye" will now have a handy little flashlight next to them just waiting to help out.

Customer Review: Compact and Powerful
Summary: 5 Stars

I like carrying a flashlight in my pocket at all times and have used cheap LED lights that were weak and poorly constructed. I decided to get a stronger, brighter flashlight and the Streamlight Nano has been excellent. It is about 2/3 the length of a normal key and 1/2 inch thick, so it is not too bulky for any pocket. The light itself is very bright--I am impressed that it performs better than many full-sized flashlights I own. It only requires a slight clockwise turn of the knob to turn it on, and its construction feels durable. The only potential knock is that the knob can twist and unintentionally turn the light on in my pocket, but it doesn't happen often.

Overall, this is a great flashlight if you're looking for power in a very small package.
