I wasn't expecting much more than a little glowing LED, so to say I was amazed at what I got is an understatement.
Purchased this because I kept losing my (much) larger 14 LED flashlight (uses 3 AA batteries) that I use to walk in the dark from one part of my property to the other.
I turned this on and WOW! That's a lot of light in a small package! I compared it to the other flashlight and it was about 10% brighter.
Not sure how they accomplished this with only 1 LED, but it sure does more than I was hoping for. Easy on/off by simply rotating the front of the light (similar to the MagLights, only easier.)
I'm going to purchase more - - these are excellent for glove compartments, nightstands, etc.

I am rather impressed by the brightness of this tiny guy - it is brighter than my Mini Maglite that is powered by two AA batteries and is probably 10 times bigger. Along with my keys, I have this flashlight and a Verbatim Tuff 'N' Tiny flashdrive, and I feel as though I am well prepared and geared...
The size of this thing can not be beat. It is about 1.5 inches long - shorter than all of my keys and only about 0.5" in diameter. It is true that it is not designed to open with one hand - with a twist mechanism - but I am able to open it with one hand with some needed dexterity, though this is not an issue for me.
All in all, I would highly recommend this to anyone to put on their keychain. It is well worth the price!

Inexpensive, super bright, tiny & light weight and the easy on/off clip is handy too! I've had this light for 4 months and so far it is still as bright as ever on the original battery. No problems with it coming apart or breaking either; the metal holds up just fine in my pocket or on the dog leash. I will say the paint has chipped a bit around the base showing some wear and it does take two hands to hold and twist to turn it on/off, but for under $5, that's really not an issue to me. I bought a second one & keep it on my house/car key chain and it's been a blessing on two occasions; to pick up my wallet dropped in a dark movie theater and my cell phone which fell under the seats of a airport shuttle van. This light is very cool. It is very small and very bright! It does not bulk up your keychain. I walk each evening and it gets dark early now. The light is handy to illuminate the walkway when needed. It is useful to carry all the time for occasions when you need light, such as working on a project where it is dark. I had read the other reviews on this light and, per some other posters suggestion, put teflon tape on the threads where the bulb screws on. This will keep the light from coming apart in your pocket. Thanks to the other posters for that suggestion. This tiny light is as bright as a 2 D cell light with new batteries. I am very impressed with it and recommend it. I was searching for a small light I could put on my keychain. I at first was leaning towards the press and hold variety you will find at dollar stores, but after going through a number of them I wanted something that would last at least a year. I found the nanolight on amazon and was sold after seeing the comparison in this post: http://www.defensivecarry.com/vbulletin/related-gear-equipment/41417-streamlight-nanolight-review.html It is almost too bright of a light for a keychain, if that is possible. I have found that I most be careful not to shine it in people's eyes, and using it as a night light with others in the room, will keep them awake, but for the price its the brightest, smallest light you will find.
