I just recently purchased my Streamlight Stinger. I have not used it in the field enough to make an informed opinion, but from what I've seen so far, I love it! I bought the model with the dual switches. It is small in size, light in weight, yet projects a very bright beam of light. It appears to be well made. Heard about Streamlight's quality. You really get what you pay for. I cost a good deal and the product is by far the best I have ever owned. I work as an Inspector with the USDA and I was extremely pleased when I first purchased my Stinger DS C4 back in May of 2009. I use my light to inspect facilities, equipment, and product throughout the course of the day and it made my job a lot easier. The Establishments that I work in were all so impressed with the light they went out and purchased the same lights for their staff. The light is super bright(I believe it's rated at 180 lumens), it has a really tight beam, a decent battery life for an LED light, and it's rechargeable so you dont have to mess around with buying or changing batteries out all the time. However, over the past year I have purchased two of these lights. My first C4 took a dump in January 2010. Both of the switches quit working at the same time and the only way I could shut it off was to pull the battery out--of course doing this too many times just lead to me cross-threading the cap. I immediately bought another one and less than two weeks after purchasing the second light its switches quit working too! I've talked with streamlights customer service and have sent my lights in for repair at no cost(other than having to pay for the shipping). The customer service rep told me that they would have the lights back to
