Very bright LED light. Nice sharp round white colored spot. Lots of throw. I was able to clearly light up objects 75 or 80 yards away. Package says "designed and assembled in the USA". Two Streamlight 123 lithium batteries included with recent date stamps of 4410 (44th week of '10). Seems very well made. Don't know if its battle ready like my surefire G2 or not but I'm sure it will hold up fine for me as a "did you hear that?" investigation tool. 150 lumens. A person will likely be blinded for a good long while if this light is shined in their eyes at night. Simple click on-off switch, no strobe. I would think the reflector head is too big to mount this light on a rifle or shotgun, but who know, maybe it can. Probably the standard Polytac would be easier to mount on a firearm. If you want a good US made flashlight and Surefire is out of your budget, check out this Polytac HP. Everybody should have at least one GOOD quality flashlight in their home IMO!
